Quail Ridge

Yup, as if we didn’t have enough going on. We raise our own quail too. Primarily, we do it for the eggs. Quail eggs are more alkaline than chicken eggs and better for you. We love their rich flavor and they look cool too.

We are still working on this page. These are some pictures of our first hatch of quail eggs from our birds that we allready have. We did really good with a 60% hatch ratio. [click pictures to enlarge]

The quail you see in the gallery above are now 6 weeks old and have started laying eggs. Amazing isnt it! This is one of them.

We sell our eggs at the farmers markets in cartons of 20 for $5.00.  A customer at the market the other day asked me if a quail egg was any better for you than a chicken egg. You will have to look at the Nutrition Facts and decide that one for yourself. I will add this one thing though; quail eggs are more alkaline than chicken eggs and that is a good thing for you. The rest, you decide. [click picture to enlarge]
